Our co-worker couple, Brother Salman and Sister Maryam, lovingly devote themselves to caring for the poorest of the poor in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. They visit villages where there is neither electricity nor running water. Many children do not attend school. Through their work, many people receive hope and hear about Jesus, the Saviour of the world.
Who Is Call of Hope?
For more than a century, Call of Hope has been reaching Muslims for Christ by means of relational evangelism, discipleship, creative media, church planting initiatives and humanitarian aid.
In 27 countries, from Africa to the Middle East to Southeast Asia, more than 200 indigenous believers have been trained theologically and carry out the work of Jesus Christ as leaders in their ministries and communities. Many of these workers are themselves former Muslims who are uniquely positioned to form relationships with their friends and neighbours.
The entire ministry of Call of Hope has been built on the courageous and passionate service of these “Frontline Workers”. Men and women who are willing to brave separation from family, extreme ridicule, and yes, even death, to return to their people and boldly proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Our Frontline Workers are well aware of the danger that they place themselves and their families in by ministering, but they are compelled through the love of Christ to reach their Muslim neighbours.
